To obtain a building permit from Town of Lowell, a Zoning Land Use Permit must first be obtained from the Town of Lowell.  Please contact them for all zoning permit requirement questions:  townoflowellplanning@gmail.com

Permit Submittal Requirements & Information

 The Following Construction Activities Require a Building Permit

  • Wisconsin Uniform Building Permit Application

  • Construction plans – 1 hard copy

  • Site plan showing any setbacks, easements and erosion control as required by code

  • Copy of approved Town of Lowell Zoning/Land Use Permit

  • If applicable, copy of approved Dodge County Land Use Permit

  • If applicable, copy of approved Sanitary Permit from Dodge County

  • Heat loss calculations (new homes only)

  • State Approved Plans (commercial/industrial only)

Primary Building Inspector

  • All new one and two family, mobile home and multi-family dwellings

  • All residential additions 500 sq. ft. or greater

  • All new commercial/industrial projects

  • All commercial/industrial building additions/remodels 500 sq. ft. or greater

  • All electrical services; For new buildings only, farm USE buildings, commercial buildings

  • Double fees for all work started without permits

Once all required documents are submitted, an INSPECTOR WILL REVIEW THEM AND CONTACT YOU WITH A PERMIT FEE.  Permits are not considered issued until payment has been received.
